Talent Acquisition Specialist

Job Details

The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for administering the full cycle of recruitment, providing expertise to leaders throughout the hiring and workforce planning process, and ensuring the attraction of high-quality candidates to the Standards Council of Canada (SCC). This role also involves advising on recruitment, retention, employee development, and supporting ongoing performance management and organizational development initiatives. The incumbent will oversee the operation of SCC’s HRIS, focusing on recruitment, Learning Management System (LMS), and onboarding modules.

Required Education:

  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.

Required Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in various functional areas of Human Resources.
  • At least 3 years of direct experience in talent acquisition, recruitment, and workforce planning.

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and recruitment strategies.
  • Experience with Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS).
  • Bilingual (English and French) – imperative.
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills for conducting training sessions and workshops.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, coordinate, and facilitate employee training programs, including onboarding and professional development initiatives.

Salary Package:

  • Min: 71,700 CAD
  • Max: 89,500 CAD
