The Bank of Canada is looking for a Survey Analyst to support the Canadian Economic Analysis Department’s Survey and Economic Intelligence Division. This position involves coordinating surveys, managing data, and providing technical expertise to improve survey collection and analysis techniques. The Survey Analyst will collaborate with various teams, support the implementation of economic surveys, and help interpret survey data for key publications like the Business Outlook Survey.
Required Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field, plus 2 years of related experience.
- Alternatively, a Master’s degree in the above fields with 1 year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Experience:
- 2 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or 1 year with a Master’s degree.
- Experience in data management, computer programming (e.g., Python), and analysis.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Experience with surveys, survey management, and data analysis is a nice-to-have.
- Knowledge of tools such as Qualtrics and Tableau is also an asset.
Skills:
- Ability to build and work with data sets to analyze trends.
- Ability to produce complex charts and figures.
- Strong communication skills for collaboration.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of programming and survey analysis tools is beneficial.
Salary Package:
$72,070 to $84,788 annually.
Incentive pay: 3-5% of base salary.
Additional performance pay: 2%, with higher rates for exceptional performers.
