Parks Canada is looking for energetic and enthusiastic students to support their summer 2025 operations at Fundy National Park. Cleaners will maintain the cleanliness of facilities and grounds to enhance the visitor experience. This role involves performing general cleaning tasks and light maintenance duties, such as replacing light bulbs and tightening door handles. Applicants must be able to work independently and handle a dynamic work environment.
Required Education:
- Registered as a full-time or part-time secondary or post-secondary student in an accredited academic program, or
- Participating in adult education and retraining programs at the secondary level, operated under the authority of an accredited academic institution.
Required Experience:
- Experience in providing cleaning services, including voluntary work.
- Experience in dealing with difficult situations, whether related to cleaning tasks or interactions with others.
- Going above and beyond to meet expectations.
Skills:
- Ability to deal with the public and respond to inquiries.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Minor operational maintenance tasks (e.g., replacing light bulbs, tightening door handles).
- Attention to safety and the ability to recognize and address hazardous situations.
- Initiative to take proactive action in various situations.
- Physical ability to perform lifting and moving tasks.
Salary Package:
$17.36 to $27.68 per hour (based on student’s education level)
