The National Capital Commission (NCC) is offering summer student opportunities from May 2025 (end of April) to August 2025 in the Quebec Urban Lands and Gatineau Park division. Students will join a dedicated team focused on preserving, managing, and enhancing national treasures in the Capital Region, specifically within the Gatineau Park area. Various roles are available, ranging from biological research and recreation monitoring to visitor experience and guiding at the Mackenzie King Estate.

Requirements: Completed a minimum of one year in History, Politics, Communications, Recreation and Leisure Studies, Education, Museum Studies, or a related field.
Required Qualifications:
- Full-time High School, CEGEP, college, or university student
- Enrolled in full-time studies for the next academic year
- Bilingual in both official languages
- Eligible to obtain reliability security clearance
- Possess a valid driver’s license (Ontario Class G, Quebec Class 5, or provincial equivalent) for some roles
- Willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform light physical work
- Valid CPR and first aid certifications (for certain positions)
- For positions at the Gatineau Park Visitor Centre and surrounding locations, candidates must have their own transportation
Other Job Requirements:
- Available to work flexible hours, including weekdays, weeknights, weekends, and statutory holidays
- Willing to wear protective gear provided by the employer (if applicable)
- Physically able to cycle or walk for extended periods (for some positions)
Salary:
Student rates of pay are determined by the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat.
