Senior Civil Engineer

Job Details

The Senior Civil Engineer will lead and manage civil, municipal, and water resource engineering projects. The role involves providing technical expertise, managing financial and human resources, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams for capital projects and other projects across federal lands in the National Capital Region.

Required Education:

  • A degree in Civil, Municipal, Water Resources, or Transportation Engineering, with a strong background in storm water management (or an acceptable combination of education, training, and/or experience).

Required Experience:

  • 5 to 8 years of experience in civil, municipal, or environmental engineering.
  • Extensive experience in civil/municipal engineering and storm water management, including planning, design, and analysis.
  • Experience in providing professional and technical advice to stakeholders and managing resources.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil3D, and hydraulic modeling software (EPA SWMM, PCSWMM, Visual OTTHYMO, SWMHYMO, HEC-RAS).
  • Strong contract management, negotiation, and dispute resolution skills.
  • Knowledge of codes, standards, and principles of municipal and environmental engineering.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.

Salary Package:
$94,550 to $127,698 per annum
