The Radio Equipment Life Cycle Specialist will contribute to the RCMP’s National Radio Support Section, ensuring the successful procurement, configuration, security, and operational readiness of radio equipment for dispatch communications supporting RCMP officers. The role involves business analysis, developing Statements of Work, and managing equipment life cycle processes, including maintenance and procurement.
Required Education:
- Graduation from a two-year program of study in computer science, information technology, information management, or another related field OR an acceptable combination of education, training, and experience.
Required Experience:
- Conducting business analysis within an IM or IT environment.
- Experience with mobile data communications and wireless systems.
- Developing Statements of Work.
- Experience in communication site equipment procurement, installation, or maintenance.
Skills:
- Knowledge of wireless communication systems.
- Knowledge of equipment life cycle management theories and principles.
- Knowledge of Government procurement practices.
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally.
- Ability to analyze problems and recommend actions.
- Ability to interpret complex contractual wording.
- Ability to plan and organize workloads.
Salary Package:
$101,343 to $125,914
