Program Officer (Canada)

Job Details

The Canada Council for the Arts is seeking two full-time Program Officers to manage the delivery of grants and funds to artists, arts groups, and organizations. The Program Officer will be responsible for assessing eligibility, reviewing applications, chairing assessment committees, providing feedback, and contributing to the improvement of programs and processes. The role requires the ability to establish and maintain relationships within the arts community, support policy development, and ensure access to programs and services for professional Canadian artists.

Required Education:

  • An undergraduate degree or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience related to the key responsibilities of the position.

Required Experience:

  • Five (5) years of experience directly related to the principal responsibilities of the position, including:
    • Managing client and stakeholder relations.
    • Managing committees or equivalent facilitation experience.
    • Program delivery or project management.
  • Experience in the arts, culture, or creative industries sectors is an asset.
