The Office of the Chief Electoral Officer is hiring a Political Financing Officer to support Elections Canada’s financial audits, compliance, and political financing work. The role involves performing audits, providing guidance, and analyzing financial data. Candidates will also contribute to upholding Canada’s democratic processes.
Required Education:
- A degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in accounting, finance, business administration, commerce, or economics, OR
- Eligibility for a recognized Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation.
Required Experience:
- Significant experience (2+ years) in performing financial, compliance, or risk-based audits.
- Significant experience in analyzing and synthesizing financial information and providing recommendations to management.
- Experience providing guidance to internal or external clients.
- Experience using advanced Microsoft Excel functions (e.g., VLOOKUP, PivotTables).
