Parks Canada is seeking a Plumber to provide plumbing, gas fitting, and related mechanical services for industrial and residential systems in the Lake Louise, Yoho & Kootenay Field Unit. The role involves maintaining work records, reviewing and interpreting building/construction plans (e.g., blueprints), and ensuring the effective functioning of plumbing systems, utilities, and heating systems.
Required Education:
- Successful completion of secondary school according to provincial standards or equivalent.
Required Experience:
- Minimum 4 years of experience in the plumbing trade, including plumbing, utilities, and heating systems.
- Minimum 4 years of experience researching and implementing current codes, statutes, and regulations related to plumbing, gas, and utilities services.
- Minimum 4 years of experience with heating systems and their components (propane boilers, hot water heaters, and furnaces).
Skills:
- Knowledge of current methods and practices related to plumbing, propane gas, and utilities services.
- Knowledge of safety rules, WHMIS, and safe work practices related to trades.
- Ability to maintain work records and interpret construction documents (blueprints).
- Ability to effectively use time and adapt to changing priorities.
- Strong communication skills and sound judgment.
Salary Package:
$37.04 to $40.28 per hour
