Managing Director, Market and Liquidity Risk Division

The Managing Director (MD) is responsible for leading the Market and Liquidity Risk Division (MLRD) at OSFI. The role involves managing a team of specialists, assessing and managing financial risk in federally regulated financial institutions and pension plans, and collaborating across OSFI. The MD will contribute to risk management frameworks, supervise financial institutions, and lead complex initiatives in the financial services industry.

Required Education:

  • A degree from a post-secondary institution with specialization in finance, risk management, mathematics, actuarial science, economics, accounting, computer science, or a relevant field.
  • An acceptable combination of relevant experience and education/training may also be considered.

Required Experience:

  • Leadership experience at the executive level managing a team.
  • Significant experience in leading multi-disciplinary initiatives.
  • Significant experience working with financial risk management in the financial services industry.
  • Significant experience in treasury activities (liquidity risk management, funding, asset-liability management, etc.) or capital markets functions (trading, middle-office risk controls, etc.).

Salary Package: $198,700 to $248,300 per year.
