Heritage Programs Student, Promotions & Social Media

Job Details

The Heritage Programs Student will assist in the development and promotion of Parks Canada’s national historic sites through online and print materials. Responsibilities include creating social media content, assisting with promotional activities at events, and supporting the development of photo and video content for Banff Park Museum NHS, Cave and Basin NHS, and Rocky Mountain House NHS.

Required Education:

  • Currently enrolled in a recognized post-secondary institution in a program related to marketing, communications, tourism, public relations, museum studies, or a closely related field.

Experience:

  • Experience in event/activity coordination and promotion.
  • Experience and/or familiarity with developing promotional content for social media channels.
  • Experience working in a team-oriented environment.

Skills:

  • Ability to carry out detailed instructions accurately.
  • Ability to organize tasks and take initiative.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Effective communication skills.

Salary Package:
$22.56 to $25.87 per hour
