Director, International Studies

Job Details

The Director of International Studies will lead the International Studies Division of the International Economic Analysis department. The division conducts innovative research on foreign economies, monetary and fiscal spillovers, exchange rates, international trade and capital flows, labor markets, and firm dynamics, among others. The director will guide a team, ensuring high-quality publications and contributions to relevant monetary and financial policies.

Required Education: Doctorate degree in Economics or Finance.

Required Experience:

  • Four years of experience in economic research and policy analysis.
  • Consistent track record of publishing in academic journals, including top economics and finance journals.
  • Established record of conducting high-quality economic analysis, informing policy, and developing models.

Skills:

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide teams towards achieving objectives.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills to address complex issues.
  • Effective communication skills to convey complex information clearly and adapt to different audiences.
  • Ability to build and manage external partnerships.

Salary Package: $174,197 to $204,938 (job grade 20), with incentives (7-10% base salary) and additional performance pay (up to 5%).
