Director General, Corporate Services and Finance

Job Details

The Director General, Corporate Services and Finance (CFO) reports to the President of the Canada Water Agency and is accountable for strategic leadership, vision, and advice in managing corporate services, financial services, results management, and human resources services. The role includes the negotiation and management of service agreements, financial management, investment planning, program and project financing, budgeting, and ensuring compliance with financial principles, legislation, and policies. The position also involves advising senior management on corporate and financial matters while promoting transparency, accountability, and ethical conduct.

Required Education: Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in a related field or an acceptable combination of relevant education, job-related training, and/or experience.

Required Experience:

  • Significant experience (approximately three years) in providing strategic leadership in corporate services, financial services, and/or human resource services.
  • Experience in setting strategic direction and providing advice to senior management.
  • Experience in managing financial and human resources, including performance management and contributing to human resources plans.
  • Experience in stakeholder management, building, and maintaining effective relationships with senior government officials and external stakeholders.

Salary Package: $151,155 to $177,809
