The Detachment Services Assistant provides administrative and operational support to police officers and other employees at a Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) detachment. This role also involves offering front counter and telephone assistance to the public, providing information, and handling requests. The position is performed in a police detachment environment and requires the ability to handle stressful situations and multitask in a high-pressure environment.
Required Education:
Successful completion of two years of secondary school or an acceptable combination of education, training, and/or experience.
Required Experience:
- Experience providing clerical or administrative support services.
- Experience using word processing software (e.g., Microsoft Word).
- Experience using spreadsheet software (e.g., Microsoft Excel).
- Experience providing service to the public by phone, in writing, or in person.
