The Canadian Coast Guard is recruiting individuals for the Officer Training Program (Marine Engineering Officer), where candidates will undergo a 4-year training program at the Canadian Coast Guard College in Sydney, Nova Scotia. Successful candidates will receive a technology degree, a diploma, and commercial certification, leading to continued employment within the Canadian Coast Guard across Canada.
Required Education:
- High school diploma with:
- Grade 11 Chemistry
- Grade 12 Advanced Mathematics (Pre-calculus)
- Grade 12 Physics
- Grade 12 English or French
For applicants in Quebec, equivalent secondary school courses apply.
Required Experience:
- Asset Qualifications (not mandatory but beneficial):
- Experience working with the Canadian Coast Guard
- Experience in maritime activities or volunteering
- Experience in events, organizations, or committees related to maritime work
