Coordinator, Project Management

Job Details

The Project Management Coordinator helps manage routine infrastructure and environmental projects. This role may also involve research, studies, and assessments.

Key Responsibilities

Main Duties:

  • Research, prepare, and present project documents, policies, and procedures.
  • Communicate with stakeholders to support decision-making.
  • Assist with procurement planning.
  • Prepare business cases, project requirements, and conduct investigations.
  • Coordinate activities of consultants.
  • Represent the project manager or director when needed.
  • Assist with technical studies and reports.
  • Build and maintain good relationships with colleagues, industry professionals, and stakeholders.
  • Ensure project quality meets corporate and client expectations.

Other Duties:

  • Prepare monthly reports.
  • Support or lead business development activities.
  • Identify and manage project risks.
  • Handle other assigned tasks as needed.

Skills & Qualifications

Knowledge:

  • Best practices and regulations in real estate, construction, and environmental services.
  • Project management, contracts, and risk management.
  • Treasury Board Secretariat policies and procedures.

Education & Experience:

  • Minimum: a college diploma in engineering, architecture, or a related field + about two years of relevant experience (or equivalent).
  • Preferred: University degree and/or additional training in project management.

Abilities:

  • Use relevant computer software.
  • Apply project and risk management techniques.
  • Provide advice and guidance to team members and stakeholders.

Work Conditions

  • Office setting with occasional travel.
  • Some work may take place on construction sites, requiring basic safety gear.
